This policy explains what the Transcript for Spotify & YouTube browser extension (“the extension”) and its online service (“the service”) collect, why, and what you can do about it. The extension is free and is made by Antradus AI (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].
What the extension does
When you click Get transcript, the extension reads the transcript and episode details from the Spotify or YouTube page, inside your own browser, and shows them so you can name the speakers, copy the text or export it. The transcript never leaves your browser. To hold each account to fair use, the extension tells our service the platform, the video or episode ID, and its length — nothing else. No artificial intelligence processes your transcripts. The extension does not read other websites, and it does nothing on Spotify or YouTube until you ask.

We do not store transcripts on our servers, download audio, run AI on your transcripts, track your browsing, show you ads, or sell personal information.
Retention is enforced automatically: a scheduled job runs daily and erases data once its period has passed.
Stored only on your device
The extension keeps these in your browser’s local storage, and removes them when you uninstall it:
- your sign-in session;
- the last transcript you opened, with the speaker names you typed.
Earlier versions
Versions before 1.1.0 offered a free trial, paid plans and AI speaker names, and kept records for them: a free-trial record (normalised email address, a random installation ID, a hashed IP address and network number), AI speaker results, and purchase records. The service no longer collects any of these, and deletes what remains automatically.
The newsletter
After you first sign in, the extension asks whether you would like the Antradus AI newsletter. Both answers give you the whole extension. We send the newsletter only if you answer Yes.
- You can unsubscribe with the link in any issue, or choose Unsubscribe from the newsletter in the extension’s ⋯ menu. We take you off the list before the next issue.
- We deliver the newsletter through an email-sending service that acts on our behalf. It receives your email address only if you subscribed.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received through Google sign-in and the Chrome extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used to provide the extension, and your email address is used for the newsletter only when you ask for it. It is never used for advertising or sold.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your data. Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and we will delete your account, your newsletter subscription and your usage records within 30 days.
- Access or correct your data. Email us.
- Change your newsletter answer at any time from the ⋯ menu, or unsubscribe from any issue.
- Stop using the service. Sign out and uninstall the extension.
- EU/UK residents. We process your account and usage data to provide the service you asked for (our contract with you), and for our legitimate interests in keeping it working and fairly used — applying the daily limit, rate-limiting abuse, investigating misuse of the service, and enforcing our Terms. We send the newsletter on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without it affecting the extension. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you may complain to your data protection authority.
- California residents. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
The extension is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. We will notify signed-in users in the extension of material changes.
