The In-Editor AI Assistant

August 2, 2026 2 min read

What it does: Two editing superpowers inside the editor itself: highlight any text and transform it (free in Lite), or tell the AI what to do with the whole post (Publisher).

Applies to Antradus AI Lite, Publisher & Studio v2.7.0 · Last updated 2026-08-26

Tool 1 — Highlight & transform ("AI ✨")

Select any text while writing, then:

  • Classic editor: open the AI ✨ dropdown in the toolbar.
  • Block editor: the option appears in the block’s text toolbar.

Pick a transform — the highlighted text is replaced with the result (Ctrl+Z brings the original back):

Menu item What it does
🖊 Rewrite Says the same thing differently
💎 Enhance / Improve Better wording, stronger flow
Expand (more detail) Grows the selection with added substance
Shorten Tightens it without losing the point
🩹 Fix Grammar & Spelling Corrections only — your voice stays
🌍 Translate to… Any of the 17 supported languages
My instruction One-click runs your saved custom instruction (see below)
✏️ Custom instruction… Type any one-off instruction: "make this a bulleted list", "add a statistic", "write like a pirate"

Your saved instruction

If you find yourself typing the same custom instruction repeatedly ("simplify to 8th-grade reading level"), save it once under Antradus AI → 🪄 Editor AI Assistant → My Custom Instruction. It then appears as the ⭐ one-click item in the menu.

Tool 2 — Whole-post assistant (Publisher)

At the bottom of the Antradus AI panel there’s a pill labelled 💬 Tell Antradus AI what to do with this post (in Lite it shows as a 🔒 locked row). Type an instruction that applies to the entire article:

  • "Add a comparison table after the second heading"
  • "Make the intro punchier and end with a question"
  • "Translate the whole post to Spanish"

The AI rewrites the whole body accordingly. Undo restores the previous version.

Your media is safe (v2.0.3): images, figures/captions, galleries, embeds, and shortcodes in the post are preserved exactly through an edit — an image stays an image with the same file — unless your instruction explicitly asks to remove or replace them.

Post length limit: the whole-post assistant handles posts up to roughly 2,000 words. Longer posts get a clear message instead of a cut-off result — for those, highlight one section at a time and use the AI ✨ selection tools, which work on posts of any length.

Tips & gotchas

  • Transforms work on any text — including content you wrote yourself or imported; the post doesn’t need to be AI-generated.
  • Selection size matters: transforms are for sentences-to-sections. For the whole article, use the whole-post assistant instead.
  • Both tools use your configured provider/model — quality follows the model you picked.
