AntradusAI EIC: An Editor-in-Chief Agent for Your Website

October 12, 2026 7 min read

What it does: EIC runs your website’s editorial plan on a schedule. It finds trending and evergreen topics that fit your rules, emails you to approve them, then writes, publishes, links and measures them. Nothing goes live without your approval.

Applies to Antradus AI Publisher & Studio v2.20.1 · Last updated 2026-10-15

Where it lives

Antradus AI → EIC Agent. It appears on any site with an active Publisher or Studio licence. On Lite the menu shows EIC Agent 🔒 instead, which opens the plan comparison.

Before you start

  • An AI provider connected under Antradus AI → Settings. Trend articles need live web search, so choose a provider other than DeepSeek for EIC.
  • A SerpApi key under Settings → Google Trends (EIC reads Google Trends through it).
  • Working email on your website. Email is how EIC asks you before it publishes.
  • Your site must allow search engines (Settings → Reading).

Set it up

Open the Setup tab and work through each step. EIC cannot take control until every required step is done.

  1. Your website: what it is about, who reads it, the country and language. Choose one category for EIC’s articles, or Let AntradusAI choose from my current categories or create suitable new ones: each article then goes in the category that really fits it, and a short new one is created when none does. Choose the author shown on EIC’s articles (anyone who can publish posts); by default it is the admin who hands control to EIC.
  2. Goals and mix: articles per day, how many should be trending vs evergreen, and a daily spending limit. The limit is measured on the same estimated costs as Reporting, which also shows how much of your spend was EIC’s.
  3. Editorial rules: two boxes that work differently (see Writing your rules below).
  4. EIC settings: EIC starts with a copy of your main settings. Change any one of them for EIC only; everything else stays the same as your main settings. Each setting shows what your main settings use right now, and models are picked from a list, just like the main settings (press Fetch Models).
  5. Look: EIC’s own dark theme, or press Lite style for the normal WordPress look.
  6. Schedule and email: when EIC checks (10:00 and 22:00 by default, or every few hours), how it emails you, and when the daily report arrives. You can have several daily reports (for example 08:00, 20:00), up to one per check. Each one covers what happened since the one before it.
  7. Trends and search: which Google Trends categories to read.
  8. Visibility check: confirms search engines and AI assistants can read your site.
  9. Hand over: press Hand control to EIC. The moment is recorded and shown everywhere.

Writing your rules

Rules are read by the AI, so write them in full sentences, as you would brief a new editor. They are used twice: to choose which ideas to offer you, and again while each article is written, so the article itself keeps to them. For example:

We publish positive, useful stories for families living in the UAE. Never criticise the government, the country or its people. No sex, nudity, religion or extreme politics. No crime, accidents or deaths. Keep the tone respectful and never mock anyone.

Never write about is a plain word list, not instructions. Put one word or short name per line. An idea is dropped, at no cost, when one of them appears as a whole word in its title, its related searches or its Google category.

Good entries Not useful here
sex, nudity, nude, religion, religious, election, protest, a competitor’s name "Never criticise the government" (a sentence: it only matches a title containing that whole sentence, so put it in Rules)
"nudeity" (spelling must be exact, so a misspelling never matches)

Keep the word list short: a word also blocks good ideas that merely mention it. If you type a sentence into it, the Setup screen warns you.

Not sure where to start? Press Take the tour at the top of the screen for a step-by-step walk-through, or follow the Getting started checklist.

Keep EIC on time: a server cron

EIC does its work in the background: checks, approved articles and the daily reports. WordPress only starts background work when someone visits your site, so on a quiet site an article you approved can wait hours to be written.

A server cron fixes that. It is recommended for every website, and necessary on one with few visitors. In your hosting panel (cPanel, hPanel, Plesk…) open Cron Jobs, choose every 5 minutes, and paste the command shown in Setup → Schedule and email. It looks like this:

wget -q -O - "https://your-site.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron" >/dev/null 2>&1

The same box tells you whether EIC’s background runs are on time, and the Flow tab warns you when they are late.

Day to day

  • Approve by email. Each email lists the ideas EIC wants to write and why. Press Approve or Dismiss; each button opens a confirm page first. No answer means nothing is published. Each link works once; open it again and it tells you what you already chose and where the article is now.
  • Written from checked facts. Every EIC article is written with live web search (except with DeepSeek, which has none). If the AI still finds no reliable facts for an idea, it refuses instead of inventing them, and EIC tries that article once more with web search; Being written shows the second try, or the reason it stopped.
  • Publish now or later. A trending article is published as soon as it is written, because by tomorrow it is old news. For an evergreen article the Approve page lets you choose: Publish as soon as it is written, or Schedule it for a date and time (in your website’s timezone). On the Flow tab, press Schedule… beside Approve. A scheduled article is written straight away and waits as a scheduled post, so you can read it, change its date or publish it early from the editor.
  • Follow what you approved. EIC starts on an approved idea straight away. The Being written panel on the Flow tab shows where each one is: reading its sources, ready to write, being written, then published with a link (or not written, with the reason). Write it now writes it on the spot while you watch; approving on the Flow tab does the same.
  • Watch it work. The Flow tab shows each step as it happens, with a plain-language log of every decision and its reason. Run now lets EIC work through what is waiting while you watch, and Find new ideas now looks for new ideas (today’s trends plus evergreen ideas) without waiting for the next scheduled time. Ask you shows how many ideas are waiting for your answer, and Write how many articles are being written. The log (What EIC is doing) shows 20 steps per page, newest first; use Older and Newer to page through it.
  • Pause any time from the screen or from any email.
  • Scorecard compares your search and AI-assistant results before and after EIC took control. Every number is real: it comes from Google Search Console, your site’s own visit log or EIC’s own checks, never a demo. The chart shows impressions (left scale) and clicks (right scale) per day; point at it to see a day’s numbers. Search Console reports each day 2 to 3 days late.

Studio: the podcast calendar

On Studio, EIC also studies your show’s episode list and suggests which episode to turn into articles, and when. A person always does the conversion: press Convert now on a suggestion to open it in Podcast to Articles.

The human-in-the-loop policy

  1. Nothing EIC writes is published without your approval, or a rule you set during setup.
  2. Podcast conversions are always done by a person (Studio).
  3. Every decision is logged with its reason.
  4. You can pause EIC at any time.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
Hand control to EIC is missing Finish the setup steps listed on the Hand over step.
No emails arrive Press Send the daily email now on the Flow tab; if it fails, the log says why. Set up an SMTP plugin if your host cannot send mail.
Checks run late Add the server cron job described above.
I approved an idea but nothing was written Open the Flow tab: Being written says where it is. Press Write it now, and add a server cron so it never waits.
An article was saved as a draft, not published It still talked about the material it was written from ("the source says…") after one automatic rewrite. The log quotes the sentence: fix it in the post, then publish.
EIC Agent is not in the menu It needs an active Publisher or Studio licence.
